The Embassy of India in Berlin and various student associations in Germany recently founded the Indian Students in Germany (ISG) initiative. ISG aims to:

• Share information on visas, scholarships, job opportunities, cultural events, and more.
• Provide emergency contacts for Indian students in Germany.
• Connect students with potential employers in India and Germany.

IGCHE students in Germany should register at the ISG portal to receive valuable information.

90 Students enrolled in PSG GST this year, in Automobile Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering. They will study at PSG IAS for three years and learn German at the PSG German Language Centre before they switch to Germany for their final year.

We are looking forward to welcoming them at the IGCHE partner universities in Germany!

Seventeen second-year PSGIAS GST students currently attend the IIK Summer School in Düsseldorf. During their month in Germany, they will get intensive German language training, but of course they will use the opportunity to get to know the country as well as some of the IGCHE universities.

Last Friday they paid a visit to the Westphalian University. Nine computer science, seven robotics and two mechanical engineering students, accompanied by their PSG German language teachers Dr. Suganthi and Mrs. Pavithra, visited faculty labs and also Halle 1, a lab run by students where they can realise any project they have on their minds.

Trips to Amsterdam, Luxemburg, Bingen and other European cities are part of the itinerary, too. The Summer School in Germany will certainly boost their language proficiency and study confidence.

On March 18th 2025, the inauguration of PSGIAS German School of Technology took place at PSG Institutions in Coimbatore.

The joint bilingual Bachelor's programmes of PSG and IGCHE, which have been successful for years, now finally have a home. With the PSGIAS German School of Technology, these programmes will continue to grow and cooperation in the education of students will be intensified. Representatives from over twenty German DHIK universities, the DAAD, the German Indian Round Table Coimbatore, Goethe-Institut and of course students, teachers and leaders from PSG took part. The Chief Guest was Dr Kathrin Misera-Lang, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Chennai.

Michaela Küchler, Consul General of Germany, visited PSG Institute of Advanced Studies and PSG Institute of Management to discuss career opportunities in Germany. The PSG IM Convention Hall was packed with interested listeners:
